  • Supervise Collection Specialist staff
  • Interview and participate in hiring of qualified staff members
  • Complete staff performance evaluations and develop improvement plans when needed
  • Coordinate the daily activities of staff, ensuring equitable distribution of work
  • Track team and individual productivity and provide feedback to staff and management
  • Conduct Quality Assurance audits providing feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor, review and report on aging inventory
  • Identify claim denial and edit trends and escalate to management
  • Continually monitor operations and workflow for productivity improvement opportunities
  • Provide regular updates to business operations leadership
  • Ensure accounts are being resolved according to departmental best practices
  • Ability to work effectively with departmental leaders and external customers
  • Act as a role model to staff in providing excellent customer service
  • Work with various insurance carriers to ensure accurate and timely paymentsTrain new employees on job functions, policies, procedures, tools and systems
  • Identify training and development needs of staff and coordinate efforts to ensure team members are current in process knowledge
  • Hold staff accountable to Human Resources, Corporate Compliance and Departmental standards Experience Required 3 - 5 years billing/patient accounting experience preferred. 3+ years of proven work experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. In-depth knowledge of performance metrics and revenue cycle in a healthcare setting preferred. Education Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required, some college preferred
