American Water is excited to bring on two finance Interns to support Military and Contract Services Group! These positions will work closely with the Finance team on various projects and initiatives. Open to summer or year round opportunity! Apply now for immediate consideration!

Primary Role

The Intern position will reside in the Finance department and support the Military and Contract Services companies. They will work closely with the finance team by contributing assistance in month end close, financial analysis, contract support, system compliance and various projects and initiatives. This is a highly technical position that builds on the basic financial tools and problem-solving capabilities.

Key Accountabilities

• Support month end close analysis.
• Provide information related to financial audits.
• Support government compliance requirements. Collaborate with staff in various departments including Accounting, Cash/Treasury, Accounts Payable, and Tax.

    • 3.0 or higher GPA.
