SEMCON provides a highly qualified, professional, and responsive
technical and managerial workforce to satisfy customer requirements
that support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)'s mission,
vision, goals. We are currently recruiting for a Principal Engineer
to join our team supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's
(FAA) Cyber Security efforts working at the FAA William J. Hughes
Technical Center. The Principal Engineer will provide Program
Management Office technical support and guidance in the acceptance
of new users connecting to FAA services and the on-ramping of new
users to the Integrated Enterprise Services Platform (IESP)
platform. Serve as technical liaison between external users and
organizations within the FAA. Develop technical documentation and
processes for FAA systems and services.The Principal Engineer will
have the knowledge, skills, and experience to: - Provide technical
support and guidance in support of on-ramping new users onto the
IESP Platform. - Develop technical requirements, change requests,
and network configuration documentation - Coordinate technical
solutions and serve as technical liaison between FAA clients,
Engineering, Verification, Integration, and Test (EVIT), 2nd level
engineering and the operational team - Develop/review/update system
and technical documentation - Develop/review/update system
processes and process documentation (e.g. workflows, system
ordering guide)..
Requirements:
- Experience in Systems Engineering, System Development and
Enterprise Systems - Experience in networking and telecommunication
infrastructure - Experience in cloud computing and virtualization
technology - Well versed in Infrastructure as a service (IAAS) and
Platform as a service (PAAS) - Familiar with Virtualization via
Containers (aka Containerization) - Strong organizational and
communication skills - Strong documentation and process development
skills - Ability to work independently or in a team environmentAn
Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Systems, or related field and at 25+ years of demonstrated
