Worth (UHNW) resources group (branded as Family Office Resources or
"FOR") is within Morgan Stanley's Private Wealth Management
division and is responsible for providing specialized expertise,
platforms and experiences to ultra-high net worth advisors and
clients across a broad range of family wealth management issues,
including strategic estate & financial planning, philanthropy
management, family governance, wealth education, lifestyle
advisory, and more.Within the Family Office Resources department,
the Field Engagement team is responsible for being the first point
of contact for Financial Advisors and UHNW Clients to:
- Learn about Morgan Stanley's differentiated services for UHNW
Clients
- Receive end-to-end UHNW Client solutions through a three-step
process:
- a. Diagnosis of Client needs using a proprietary framework
- b. Creation of a customized plan to tackle UHNW needs
- c. Curation of a team of Morgan Stanley specialists who execute
on the Client's planToday, the Field Engagement team consists of
six, regionally placed senior specialists, known as FOR
Generalists, along with a team of three junior associates that help
manage the pipeline of Financial Advisor, Client, and Prospect
opportunities for the FOR Generalists.As a FOR Generalist, you
would primarily be responsible for:
- Helping Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs), and other Financial
Advisors (FAs) identify services and resources (offered by teams
across the firm) that would address the complex needs of their UHNW
Clients
- Managing the end-to-end PWA/FA and Client experience of FOR
resources
- Coordinating comprehensive and integrated planning across teams
of FOR specialists, and across Morgan Stanley divisions, to address
each Client's unique and evolving needs (e.g., family dynamics;
philanthropic and charitable planning; business succession
planning; cash flow modeling and liquidity management; estate,
gift, and generation skipping tax planning; income tax planning;
retirement and educational tax planning; asset protection and risk
management; executive compensation and benefits)
- Working with national, regional and local branch management to
identify and support business development initiatives around UHNW
Clients and Prospects
- Proactively engaging and building relationships with PWAs/FAs
and Clients who do not engage FOR today, but may benefit from FOR
capabilities
- Keeping current all client relationship management (CRM) data
and dossiers across FOR
- Acting as a Morgan Stanley and FOR ambassador by making
presentations at various internal and external forums
- Participating in Client VIP and recruit meetings
- Partnering with other teams across the firm who deliver
solutions to UHNW Clients to master the details of their
program/offering so that all resources can be considered when
meeting with Clients/ProspectsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10+ years industry experience
- Experience in working with ultra-high net worth individuals
required (e.g., SFO or MFO professional; private bank professional;
trust, tax & estate attorney or accountant, etc.)
- Advanced degrees (e.g., JD) REQUIRED
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation
skills
- Series 7 and 66 required, 24 preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 150,000 and
250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base
pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is
only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on
the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive
compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term
incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit
