General Summary Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Marketing
Procurement, the candidate will be responsible for leading
Advertising, Public Relations and Social Media sub-categories
across the Procurement organization in support of approximately $50
million in spend for operating companies within North America. The
candidate will also support the Sr. Manager, Marketing Procurement
in the execution of Media and partner with the rest of the
Marketing Procurement team to driving synergies across all
marketing sub-categories. The individual will be expected to lead
and deliver Procurement's financial goals and objectives, drive
strategic alignment and strong partnership with Marketing
leadership, utilize category and procurement expertise to deliver
results to Marketing, support the integration of Campbell's Meals &
Beverages, Pepperidge Farm and Snyder's-Lance business units to
influence and implement Procurement category strategies in the
Marketing space. This candidate will be responsible for identifying
and driving incremental TPV opportunities and synergies across the
enterprise, inclusive of new partnerships, savings opportunities,
supplier efficiency, contract integration, etc. Will also
participate in the IBP Process (Strat plan/AOP discussions),
partnering with Manager and Marketing and Finance Leadership teams
to influence business decisions and drive best-in-class Total
Procurement Value, Quality and Innovation. Principal
Accountabilities This position will be responsible for:
- The candidate will act as the organizational representative in
dealing with key internal stakeholders, Campbell's business units,
and external Marketing suppliers. In conjunction with the Sr.
Manager of Marketing Procurement and the functional business
leaders, the incumbent will lead the development of the
Advertising, Public Relations and Social Media sub-categories and
supplier relationships, incorporating key business and strategic
sourcing strategies.
- The candidate will also support the Sr. Manager, Marketing
Procurement in the execution of Media and partner with the rest of
the Marketing Procurement team to driving synergies across all
marketing sub-categories.
- This role is responsible for the success of the sub-categories
of responsibility, while collaborating with key stakeholders to
achieve all organizational goals and business imperatives. The
candidate will lead a cross-functional team in the establishment of
a framework to obtain best price, best practices and impactful
innovations.
- This position is accountable for driving revenue enablement
through leading the development of formal Supplier Relationship
Management programs, supplier enabled innovation (SEI) programs,
category strategy development, supply market business intelligence,
and other functional needs and requirements.
- Develop and champion Advertising, Public Relations and Social
Media strategies that will drive measurable improvements in the
areas of customer satisfaction, compliance and cost benefits.
Coordinate and leverage Marketing Procurement opportunities with
other Campbell operating companies.
- Negotiate critical Advertising, Public Relations and Social
Media Agreements and annual Statements of Work/Staffing Plans
through collaboration with Campbell's Legal Counsel, Divisional
Leaders and Marketing.
- Facilitation of the Consulting Policy, PO Approvals, Supplier
Ads, and other Administrative Buying Tasks across the marketing
sub-categories of responsibility. Job Complexity The individual
must have the ability to interact with team members and
stakeholders at all levels in the organization, across multiple
functions and at the supplier organization. The individual must
have the ability to influence the direction of the business and
align and engage resources that are outside their area of
responsibility. The individual must demonstrate leadership and
commitment in moving Procurement strategies forward with respect to
Indirect categories. Job Specifications
- Bachelors Degree required: Preferred to be in
Marketing/Communications related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience: Prefer to have experience in
Advertising, Marketing or Procurement functions.
- Demonstrated track record of business results in a matrix
environment and/or with multiple companies
- Cross company and/or cross matrix experience working in
managing large complex projects
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills (proficient in
understanding financial data)
- Strong project management skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills
- Adequate/developing negotiating skills
- Ability to interact with cross-functional teams (internal and
external) at all levels of seniority.
- Time management skills required to maintain multiple
projects
- Working knowledge of Ariba is desired
