Job Description:

Interstate Waste Services is currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our robust facilities and maintenance team in the Northeast region. As a leader in non-hazardous waste management, we require a dedicated professional to oversee all maintenance activities related to our fleet and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will coordinate maintenance tasks, manage repair schedules, and ensure all activities align with company standards and safety regulations. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all waste management equipment and vehicles. Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure timely execution of repair and maintenance tasks. Monitor inventory of spare parts and initiate procurement as necessary to avoid operational disruptions. Oversee the maintenance staff, providing necessary training and support to ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed and analyze data to predict future maintenance needs. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies by maintaining equipment in top condition and following best practices in waste management protocols. Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in waste management operations. Proficient in using maintenance management software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to lead and train a team of technicians. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred. OSHAS 18001 or ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management qualifications are beneficial.
