team of mechanics to maintain and repair our diesel fleet, crucial
for our seamless distribution operations. With our distribution
network delivering to countless service operators nationwide, your
work as a Lead Diesel Fleet Mechanic ensures that US Foods
continues to be an indispensable partner to the foodservice
community. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, technical
professional dedicated to upholding the highest standards of
vehicle maintenance and team leadership. Oversee and participate in
the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines,
transmissions, and other mechanical components. Lead, train, and
supervise a team of diesel mechanics, promoting a positive and
efficient work environment. Schedule and perform routine
inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Ensure
compliance with all safety protocols and maintain clean and orderly
workspaces. Manage inventory of parts and supplies, placing orders
as required to maintain stock levels. Collaborate with other
departments to optimize logistics and delivery schedules. Extensive
knowledge of diesel engine operation and mechanics. Strong
leadership and team management skills. Ability to troubleshoot,
diagnose, and perform complex repairs efficiently. Proficient in
the use of all tools and equipment necessary for diesel
maintenance. Excellent organizational skills and attention to
