that's built for you. • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and
AS9100 Quality Management System requirements. • Review engineering
drawings, specifications, and manufacturing work instructions for
clarity, accuracy, and manufacturability. • Ensure product
compliance by flowing down program and customer requirements and
performing physical configuration audits. • Serve as the final
authority on product acceptability based on inspection results and
technical specifications. • Maintain quality procedures, SOPs, and
production quality control systems. • Program and operate CMMs,
FaroArms, and Blue Light/3D scanners to capture and validate part
and assembly dimensions. • Perform routine maintenance on CMMs,
apply software updates (e.g., Calypso), and ensure secure data
storage and backups. • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection
plans and control plans. • Manage PPAP, FAI, in-process, and final
inspection activities. • Maintain accurate measurement data,
inspection records, and quality notifications within ERP/SAP
systems. • Identify, document, control, and disposition products
and process nonconformances per company and customer requirements.
• Lead and manage NCRs and CARs, ensuring timely and effective
resolution. • Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why,
Fishbone, and other problem-solving methods. • Verify corrective
action implementation and evaluate long-term effectiveness. •
Monitor, analyze, and report quality metrics to support proactive
decision-making. • Perform MSA (Gage R&R) and process
capability studies and identify opportunities to improve
manufacturability, repeatability, and process robustness. • Drive
continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, eliminate
waste, lower costs, and improve product quality. • Provide
technical support to production and engineering teams on inspection
and quality related tasks. • Assist in resolving technical issues
and communicate findings, risks, and corrective actions to internal
teams and customers. • Train and mentor early-career engineers,
inspectors, and production personnel on inspection techniques,
quality standards, and compliance. • Deliver quality awareness
training to promote a culture of quality across the organization.

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical
discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry) or equivalent work
experience. • Proven ability to develop and run CMM programs and
perform CMM inspections on machined parts. • Proficiency with
calibrated inspection tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and
feature profiles. • Strong ability to read and interpret 2D
drawings, and/or 3D CAD models, schematics, specifications, and
work instructions. • Advanced understanding of engineering drawings
and specifications per ASME Y14.5 (GD&T). • Basic knowledge of
SAP or similar ERP systems. • U.S. citizenship required and ability
to obtain a Security Clearance. Desired skills • Strong
understanding of vision inspection systems such as Blue Light 3D
scanner, Keyence, OGP etc. • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or
equivalent certification. • Lean Manufacturing experience: Green
Belt preferred. • Experience working in AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality
management systems. • Strong background in precision inspection,
preferably in aerospace, spacecraft, or missile production. •
Hands-on experience with CMM programming, including Zeiss Calypso,
and/or machine shop operations. • Strong metrology skills and
proficiency with gauges and inspection tools. • Demonstrated
inspection and quality assurance expertise. • Proficient in
Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. • Self-motivated, action
oriented, proactive, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a

Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with
this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports
a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional
flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40
hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time
away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off
benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a
government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for
consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this
position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most
major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland,
Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is
$81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary
range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work
location. Please note that the salary information is a general
guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not
limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's
work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market
and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits
