has multiple openings for a Hardware Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Leads / Chief Engineers to join our team of qualified and diverse
individuals. These positions will be located in Baltimore, MD, and
placement will be commensurate with qualifications. This individual
will lead a cross-discipline engineering team typically greater
than 10 people for a medium to high-risk project and interface with
Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and
Mission Assurance. Typical Responsibilities: Lead and manage the
technical development and direction of cross-functional engineering
teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases
of products in development and production phases Ensure overall
technical quality for all engineering content for the program Act
as both a technical leader for the engineering team as well as an
independent advisor to the program manager Support proposal
development and new program acquisition efforts Interpret
statements of work assigned by program leadership Develop and
execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value
Management System (EVMS), critical path management,
Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts Interface
with functional departments to secure team staffing Work with
suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements Brief
internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned The
selected candidates will perform in a fast-paced work environment
with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and
collaborative/team settings. The selected candidates are expected
to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and
possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic
Qualifications: Active Secret government clearance, with
eligibility for SAP (Special Access Program) clearance Bachelor's
Degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline with 12 years of
industry experience, or Master's Degree and 10 years of industry
experience, or a PhD degree and 7 years industry experience. >2
years’ experience as a Chief Engineer, Hardware Integrated Product
Team (IPT) Lead, or Hardware Technical Lead in a program office or
business function with demonstrated team building, organizational,
and interpersonal skills >4 years’ engineering leadership
experience in a team environment Strong understanding of the
Design, Manufacturing or Test process Fluency with developing and
executing project schedules Preferred Qualifications: Experience in
development of complex RF or Digital systems and sub-systems
Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value
Management System (EVMS) projects Active and current Top Secret
government clearance Primary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 -
$253,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The application period
