DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Develop and manage traditional
public relations efforts for both property level and online media.
Oversee Social Media efforts for both property level and online
media - including blogging. Work with Social Media Manager to
strategically develop /tactically design social media campaigns for
all facets of Borgata's brands. Responsible for strategically
planning annual departmental plans and budgets. Manage
relationships with Borgata agencies to develop and pitch local and
regional PR campaigns. Promote and develop programs to communicate
casino promotions, entertainment & nightlife events, food and
beverage programs, spa specials, retail, hotel packages and hotel
group sales. Play a key role in the positioning of the Borgata
Hotel Casino & Spa and Borgata's Online Gaming brands. Serve as
property spokesperson as directed. Work closely with internal key
stakeholders (Hotel, Spa, Retail, F&B and Nightlife etc.) to
support projects and ensure the delivery of cross departmental
projects. Attend media events on and off property. Manage and
develop team members reporting directly to position. Works
diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture
and team philosophy throughout the property. Job Requirements
Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.A) from a four year college or
university; recent and relevant experience in marketing,
advertising fields; or equivalent combination of education and
experience. 6+ years of media/Public Relations and Social Media
experience in a fast-paced industry at a managerial or director
level. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint with high
level of Excel proficiency. Strong analytical skills, ability to
multi-task with solid time management skills. Ability to work
proactively and effectively within a fast-paced, complex, and
dynamic environment. High level of self-direction, self-motivation,
and energy. Excellent written and oral communication skills,
including proofreading for all written communications, including
social media content. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Exposure to casino
related environmental factors including but not limited to second
hand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing
customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment. Must be
able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts
and/or unusual hours. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be
able to travel for business meetings. Must be able to sit and work
at a computer for long periods of time. Must be able to stand at
copier workstation and effectively use a computer keyboard. Must be
able to twist and bend while standing and sitting in order to
access files at desk and in file cabinets. Must have the manual
dexterity to allow for inputting of data into computer software and
be capable viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time.
