The individual will be expected to lead and deliver Procurement's financial goals and process objectives while driving strategic alignment and developing strong partnerships with Supply Chain Logistics leadership. -This individual will be expected to utilize category and procurement expertise to develop and influence category strategy, develop RFIs/RFPs, lead and negotiate supplier agreements, perform financial analysis of supplier offers, identify supplier risk, and conduct risk assessments of potential solutions to recommend the optimal business solution.In addition, this position will support strategic Supply Chain Logistics' productivity initiatives that generate cost savings and process improvement while maintaining high levels of customer service, as well as assist Logistics in maintaining company compliance to federal, industry and internal regulations and guidelines. -Principal AccountabilitiesThe candidate will act as the organizational representative in dealing with Senior Management, key internal stakeholders, Campbell's business units, and external Warehousing & Logistics suppliers. -Additional accountabilities include the following:-Strategy development

  • -Partner with business in category strategy development for the Warehousing and Logistics area
  • Translate strategy into tactical plans and support execution
  • Define and implement mechanisms to ensure Logistics alignment/engagement
  • Remain abreast of industry trends/changes to identify impacts to Campbell Soup
  • Drive continuous improvement within area of responsibility-Sourcing leadership
    • Provide direction to team members with respect to Procurement Sourcing activities for large/complex-
    • projects
    • Develop category strategy in support of Supply Chain Logistics' objectives/strategy
    • Conduct RFXs/Auctions, analyze responses, and make recommendations -
    • Define negotiation strategies and lead execution
    • Support the contracting process in strong collaboration with Logistics and Legal.
    • Drive standardized policies and procedures across businesses
    • Guide client in the development of Statements of Work (SOWs) as needed for services-Supplier relationship management
      • Collaborate with business and suppliers to deliver continuous improvement and cost reductions
      • Manage resolution of supplier issues to ensure business continuity as required-Client relations
        • Establish strong working relationships with key internal and external customers
        • Support Logistics' strategy-
        • Support issue resolution creatively
        • Drive compliance with preferred suppliers and policies and proceduresJob Complexity
          • The individual must have the ability to interact with team members at all levels in the organization, as well as senior leadership across multiple functions. -The individual must have the ability influence the direction of the business and align and engage resources that are outside their area of responsibility.-
          • The individual must have solid coaching and influencing skills to ensure team success.
          • The individual must demonstrate strategic thought leadership in moving Procurement strategies forward with respect to indirect category.
          • The individual must be able to handle a complex workload and possess strategic foresight on how multiple business unit goals and projects align with one another and influence stakeholders' decision making based on such variety of inputs.Job Specifications
            • BS/BA in supply chain related field
            • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in Procurement of Warehousing and Logistics Services
            • Demonstrated track record of business results in a matrix environment and/or with multiple companies
            • Cross company and/or cross matrix experience working in managing large complex projects
            • Excellent negotiating skills
            • Strong leadership and influencing skills
            • Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills
            • Strong quantitative and analytical skills-
            • Ability to interact with all levels with customers, 3rd party providers and internal stakeholders
            • Time management skills required to maintain multiple projects-Additional Specifications
              • Demonstrated self-starter, imaginative/innovator, and able to set executive direction
              • Work without direction and determine own methods to accomplish work
              • Strong written and oral communication skills, decision making/problem solving and influencing and team building skills
              • Thrives in a matrix environment
              • Strategic and analytical thinker
              • Strong experience in procurement, finance and contracts (legal)
              • High frequency of interaction with external suppliers and business partners
              • Able to travel 20% (mainly domestic with potential for some global)
              • Certifications and Licensing Strongly Preferred: - MBA & CPMWorking Conditions
                • Business Travel within North America - 20%.
