Job Description:

The Director of Transportation Management Business Development i s responsible for achieving sales goals through NFI's Transportation Management Division. Other key responsibilities include: responding and providing pricing, identifying and targeting new customers, implementing vertical market strategies, engaging in community business events, conducting optimization analyses, and proposing creative solutions for new and existing customers. This position will report to the RVP of TM.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Build an organically grown pipeline of new and existing NFI customers

Develop and close sales leads

Oversee engineering analyses that assist with generating new business and organically growing existing accounts

Develop and deliver customer presentations

Retain and grow existing customer base

Negotiate contract terms, contract structure, and product lines

Develop proposals and build customer solutions

Assist with the development of a corporate TM sales strategy

Work with Marketing to continuously update sales and marketing material in step with NFI's service offerings and market dynamics

Partner and collaborate with Operations and Engineering groups

Work with and develop strong relations with the corporate sales team

Manage key administrative tasks

Respond and provide pricing

Quarterly/monthly internal & external business reviews

Establish goals/objectives for Sales

Pipeline reporting

Create/monitor KPI's for customer satisfaction

Maintain a pre-determined number of target accounts and demonstrate active attention to those accounts and progress toward closing

BA or BS degree required

5 or more years of successful sales experience with a proven winning track record for developing new business and expanding business base

Minimum of 5 years Operational Freight Forwarding Experience

Minimum of 5 years International Sales Experience

Proficient in relationship building throughout clients to include C-level executives

Strong analytical skills - ability to assess, design, and sell a given solution

Ability to communicate and negotiate with corporate-level staff - boardroom presence

Strong general business acumen

Effective negotiation skills

Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to sales and service issues

Effective planning and organizational skills to schedule appointments appropriately and meet reporting deadlines

Effective follow-up skills

In-depth knowledge of the company's products and services
