Overview Campbell is seeking a passionate and talented
sustainability leader to play a critical role in advancing Campbell
s overall sustainability strategy, achieving ambitious goals, and
positioning the company for success with customers, investors, and
other stakeholders. The Senior Director, Sustainability will own
the execution of major environmental workstreams, act as a subject
matter expert and a key partner to businesses and functions
throughout the company, and represent Campbell externally. The role
will report to the Vice President, Corporate Responsibility &
Sustainability and manage staff and contribute to the development
of a talented team. ResponsibilitiesLeverage industry experience
and know how to contribute to the development of Campbell s
enterprise sustainability strategyDevelop, implement, and improve
mission-critical elements of Campbell s sustainability program,
including strategies related to climate, water, waste, and other
goalsManage direct reports, budgets, and other resources to ensure
successful project execution and the achievement of internal
business objectives and public commitmentsServe as a sustainability
champion, and partner with leadership across the enterprise to
embed sustainability into business units, and drive accountability
and executionSpearhead development of short and long-term plans,
strategic scenario analyses, and other efforts that help Campbell
identify and manage enterprise risksCollaborate with business,
finance, and legal teams to inform complete, accurate and timely
measurement and reporting of sustainability dataServe as
sustainability subject matter expert internally and externally,
monitoring trends, identifying opportunities, and counseling
business leadersCollaborate with communications to ensure our story
is told in compelling waysCollaborate with marketing to support
brand claims and enhance the sustainability profile of Campbell
productsContribute to successful relationships with retail,
foodservice, and other customersIncrease awareness of Campbell s
sustainability activities through speaking engagements at industry
and other forumsRepresent Campbell in relevant industry groups and
platformsRequirementsBachelor s degree required; advanced degree in
business and/or sustainability preferred10+ years sustainability
experience; corporate experience with CPG, food, or agriculture
exposure preferredDemonstrated experience in owning and
independently managing strategic initiatives from conceptualization
to executionDeep knowledge and understanding of ESG initiatives,
standards, and trendsExcellent people management skills; providing
others with clear direction, motivation and empowerment, while
holding oneself and others accountable for achieving resultsAbility
to synthesize information and offer
recommendations/solutionsAbility to build positive relationships
with teams across a matrixed organization and drive change among
individuals outside core teamProven track record to work and
communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders at different
levels in a complex organizationExcellent presentation skills and
executive presenceFinancial acumen and business case
developmentComfortable in dealing with ambiguity The Company is
