Job Description:

SUMMARY:Serves as the strategic lead for SOA's National Media and Social media/marketing platforms. Is a thought leader for Subaru on everything ranging from media investment strategies, media planning, media metrics, social media strategy and optimization. Partners with various departments within SOA headquarters, SOA field, lead agency, and vendors to achieve company objectives.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Advertising Agency & Media Partners:Effectively develops and manages media strategies in partnership with the lead agency by providing information and context that links to Subaru's larger business objectives and brand priorities.Works with agency and media partners to develop integrated media activations.Builds and nurtures relationships with media partners to unlock new opportunities and to drive innovation by media channel and technology platform.National & Local Media Coordination:Identifies and creates solutions to coordinate Subaru national and local Subaru retailer media plans and spend levels to be as efficient and effective as possible, considering all mediums.Partners with Subaru regional and zone marketing personnel to offer solutions, recommendations, and guidance on region and zone media placements.Social Media & Influencer Marketing:Develops, manages, implements, and tracks all corporate social media initiatives and the promotion and expansion of Subaru's effort to engage Subaru fans (owners & non-owners) across multiple social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, YouTube, and any other social media platform Subaru deems important).Develops, manages, implements, and tracks Subaru influencer strategy and ensures coordination with brand priorities and other relevant Subaru departments.Budget:Plans, manages, tracks, and optimizes hundreds of millions in media budget and ensures high rate of return and efficiency.Leads all media budgeting discussions with Subaru Executive management.Performance & Measurement:Works with Subaru Marketing Analytics team and agency to identify ways to track and measure results and impact from media to ensure ongoing optimization. Identify cause and effect relationships of media spend and impact.Uses campaign data within the data management platform to understand and analyze trends within user growth and demographics, consumption of content, and creation of content.Delivers increased demand to SOA's portfolio of products and brand, while delivering increased awareness and traffic to Subaru web properties.Subaru Cross Functional Team Coordination:Partners with the Subaru production team on all integrated media initiatives that include content development.Works with the Subaru Digital Platform team to ensure proper content and landing pages are in place for all campaigns with emphasis on driving more conversion on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops and manages best practices for digital/social content and other creative applications.Seeks out emerging media tactics and new ad tech platforms.Maintains continuity, learning and quality assurance across all projects and initiatives.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Cross-functional, working understanding of all media disciplines and emerging technologies.High level of organizational and project management skills.Professional communication with all levels within the organization and outside vendors.Effective presentation narrative skills.Multi-tasking and ability to prioritize projects.Strong attention to detail.Ability to produce insights and use data to aid strategic decision-making.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BA/BS with 8-10 years experienceTRAVEL REQUIRED: 30%JOB GRADE: M2Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that is acceptable or probationary under the SOA Driving Record Evaluation Criteria Policy. Must be approved as an "Authorized Driver" by Risk Mgmt. to operate company vehicle prior to vehicle operation.
