Manage projectsManages multiple projects of varying degrees of complexity and risk, ranging from medium to high, from inception to successful completion. Possess advanced knowledge and understanding of and fully utilizes the CUH project management methodology and standards.2. Leads project PlanningDocuments the scope and objectives of assigned projects. With the support of the team and sponsors, develops a comprehensive and well planned method for fulfilling project scope and objectives. Identifies skill sets, team roles and financial resources needed to accomplish project goals. Provides expertise in the development of reliable project resource estimates, project work plans, and timelines. Demonstrates ability to interweave the impact of dependent projects and resource contention. 3. Scope ManagementManages project scope throughout project, documenting and escalating for approval scope changes, in order to understand and plan for the impacts of the change.4. Manages Project TeamProvides team leadership throughout the project. Oversight and management of team members, addressing team cohesion, conflict management, independent work, on time delivery, performance mentoring, motivation, and evaluation. May function as leadproject manager, mentoring and advising other project managers in their performance specific to management of major project components.5. Project CommunicationCommunicates effectively with relevant project staff, business owners, stakeholders and executive sponsors. Develops and executes project communication plans, specific to the project and appropriate for all levels of the organization. 6. Meeting FacilitationUtilizes advanced skills in meeting facilitation. Prepare for and lead project meetings, including team meetings, sponsor meetings, vendor meetings, etc. Manages meetings, keeping on agenda and time, addressing attendee over or under participation, closes out meeting with topic summary and documented action items. Distributes meeting minutes.7. Manage risk and issuesDemonstrated strong proficiency in the identification and management of risks and issues. With support of team, identifies tracks and develops solutions for issues and risks. Escalates issues appropriately and timely. Develops contingency plans to mitigate issue and risk impact. . Utilizes a keen political sensitivity in response to risks and issues.8. DocumentEither personally completes or manages through assigned project team the completion of detailed project documents as stipulated by the project management framework or identified during the project planning phase. Ensures project documents are accurate, complete, current and stored appropriately.9. QualityAssures project compliance with Cooper quality and testing standards and with change control procedures. Prepares test plan, oversees test script creation and leads testing efforts, when a software quality analyst is not assigned to the project.10. Vendor ManagementManages vendor relationship as it pertains to project planning and execution. Coordinates with vendor management, all vendor project task completion and quality reviews. Reviews and provides approval for vendor project related invoices.Other duties as assigned.
