delivers, and builds on the diversity, equity, inclusion and
belonging (DEI&B) strategy. Provides corporate strategic and
tactical operational leadership in DEI&B. Oversees Employee
Resource Groups (ERGs) to ensure enhanced communication of
DEI&B efforts. Partners with other areas of the organization to
strategize on how to incorporate awareness and retention efforts.

Promise. \n\n PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES \n
- \n
- Serves as a change agent, thought leader, influencer and
subject matter expert on diversity and inclusion-related issues
that impact Subaru of America. \n
- Creates short- and long-term national DEI&B strategy and
oversees the tactical implementation of the roadmap. \n
- Partners with the Talent Acquisition to ensure that DEI&B
efforts focused on recruitment are best equipped to find and retain
diverse talent and set up a non-biased interview and selection
process. \n
- Partners with the Learning Strategy team for development and
implementation of learning materials and course curriculums that
would be presented within STARU. \n
- Oversees and expands the partnership with Employee Resource
Groups (ERGs) to help bring our DEI&B efforts to fruition and
ensures coordination across groups and with the DEI&B strategy.
\n
- Partners with the Corporate Social Responsibility team to
strategize how to spread awareness of our DEI&B efforts.
\n
- Sources, identifies, and implements external community
partnership opportunities with different organizations that are
interested in, or support DEI&B. Internal partnerships include
brand and Love Promise areas of Marketing, Corporate
Responsibility, and other members of HR. External partnerships
include: National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), Women of
Color Automotive Network (WOCAN), Historically Black Colleges and
Universities (HBCUs), as well as others. \n
- Evaluates the results of staff engagement and climate surveys
to achieve a more inclusive and diverse staff environment through
partnership with Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs). \n
- Develops a scorecard and dashboard to compile, track, and
synthesize metrics and large data sets; develops a process to
report progress regularly. \n
- Keeps apprised of any legislation (federal, state, local) that
potentially could impact the compliance and/or reporting for DEIB
programs or ERG messaging and decides how changes would be
implemented. \n \n\n REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES \n
- \n
- Master's Degree preferred. \n
- 10-15 years professional experience in cultural change,
diversity, equity, and inclusion work required. \n
- At least eight (8) to ten (10) years of the following
experience: \n
- \n
- Experience designing and leading measurable and scalable
DEI&B programs, employee development, engagement, and/or change
management programs. \n
- Presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage
large audiences and lead some awareness-building programs and
efforts. \n
- Ability to coach senior business leaders to enable a
consistent, authentic, fair, and equitable approach to business and
internal priorities. \n
- Experience working within and engaging employees across all
levels throughout the organization. \n \n
- Demonstrated understanding of multicultural, diversity, and
social justice principles and practices. \n
- Ability to expertly identify issues that need to be addressed
and diplomatically advocate, exhibiting compassionate leadership
while simultaneously driving for results. \n
- Ability to effectively partner with leaders to improve how the
industry looks at DEI&B, and doesn't just follow a best
practices' guide, but engages in creating and executing on next
practices" in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment.
\n
- Strong collaborator and \"dot connector\", able to partner with
and build trust with a wide range team members and partners across
the organization and outside of the organization. \n
- Ability to talk to diverse ranges of employee experiences of
both inclusive and exclusive cultures and understand multi-cultural
sensitivity in all dimensions of DEIB. \n
- Excellent communication skills: proven track record in
communicating effectively and ability to inspire an inclusive
mindset and deliver a compelling message across all levels in the
organization. \n
- Proven track record of developing diversity and inclusion
strategies and programs and in developing training and development
or change initiatives. \n
- Strong interpersonal skills that span across all levels.
Experience in working with a broad range of individuals and
organizations. Ability to influence and collaborate with strategic
partners to help design, implement, and deliver programs through a
DEIB lens. \n
- Demonstrated experience in project management, organizational
effectiveness, coaching. and facilitation, including organizational
and planning skills. \n \n\n EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's
degree required; Master's degree preferred. 10 to 12 years of
relatable experience. \n WORK ENVIRONMENT: Hybrid Role - Remote
work 2 days per week \n TRAVEL REQUIRED: 20 % \n FLSA STATUS:
Exempt \n SALARY RANGE: The recruiting base salary range for this
full-time position is $123,800-$176,800. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related
skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
