National Airspace System (NAS)network.As a member of our FAA
Enterprise Network Services (FENS) team, you will bring your
passion, education and experience to this critical mission and
interact directly with decision-makers and government staff who are
tasked with ensuring the nation's air transportation systems
underlying communications infrastructure is secure and always
available. We are hiring skilled and energetic candidates to work

aerospace system in the world.This is a key personnel role within
the PMO leadership team as the FENS Test Director is accountable
for the successful initiation, planning and execution of all test
activities in support of the customer solution. This position will
ensure all system testing activities are within scope of the
solution by developing and executing in-depth, testing and
assessment of the FENS contracted capabilities and the performance
of the key attributes that support the customer's networked
applications and equipment.
- Structures the Contractor's Master Test Plan (CMTP) and test
activities in accordance with industry-best practices, Verizon
standards and customer's methods of procedure.
- Provides network modeling and simulation consultation to
clarify performance requirements and resulting data.
- Creates and manages the LAB(s) test environment and directs the
team's assessment of supporting network technologies to deliver
application specific functionality required to support the FENS
Mission.
- Manages execution of activities in a creative and
entrepreneurial approach focused on customer and business
value.
- Recruits, trains, and leads Test & Evaluation (T&E) teams
for all phases of test and evaluation (e.g., Development Test,
Operational Test, and Independent Operational Assessments, and
Site).
- Develops and trains T&E teams to develop compliant T&E
documentation including Contractor Master Test Plan (CMTP),
site/service test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
- Specify, design, and accredit specific scenarios that create
realistic, operational conditions for formal testing.
- Design and implement realistic T&E test beds at vendor and
customer facilities that incorporate T&E best practices,
Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, and compliant
accreditation of T&E assets.
- Effectively communicates and coordinates all T&E
requirements with the customer's test director.
- Enables appropriate planning, scheduling and execution across
all system test activities to achieve program benefits against
rigid timelines.
- Integrates, monitors and controls interdependencies across all
transition and transformation projects to achieve optimal
delivery.
- Develops custom processes and tailors existing processes, as
needed, to support cross-functional planning, scheduling, and
executing across all system test activities.
- Mitigates cross-functional risks, issues and resource
constraints across all system test activities.
- Facilitates all test pre-planning workshops with Verizon and
the customer.
- Provides overall management support for all system test
activities.
- Coordinates the system testing with other Verizon functional
areas and customer organization to minimize schedule impacts.
- Delivers executive reporting as the primary customer point of
contact for all system test activities.What we're looking
for...You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 10 years of experience in test and evaluation and
relevant work experience.
- 5 years' experience working with the FAA's Testing
Handbook
- Experience working with geographically dispersed staff to
develop proposed solutions and implement them.
- Experience working with staff, subcontractors, and equipment
manufacturers to fulfill contract deliverables that meet or exceed
customer requirements.
- Must be on location in Atlantic CityEven better if you have:
- A Master's degree
- 10 or more years of direct work experience in the FAA's system
test environment
- Experience with federal government safety-critical
