Commercialization is responsible for the successful
commercialization of new products, capacity expansion, and cost
savings initiatives that will deliver both top and bottom line
results in line with the Snacks Strategic Plan and AOP. The Sr.
Director partners with Innovation to lead the Portfolio Management
Review and plays a critical role in divisional strategic planning.
The Sr. Director leads a team which drives the end to end execution
of projects from idea conceptualization to benefits tracking by
planning, executing, and delivering multi-functional initiatives
supported by cross functional partners such as Consumer & Customer
Insights, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Finance, Engineering,
Procurement, Planning, Materials Management, Quality, Process
Safety, Customer Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.Principal
Responsibilities Thought-leader to drive best practices within the
Portfolio Management Review (PMR) - This is the first Integrated
Business Planning step, which is critical to ensure decisions are
made to enable a rich pipeline of initiatives ready to deliver
strategic goals sufficiently with the appropriate balance of
resources.Partners with the CMO, R&D, and Supply Chain
leadership and provides input into monthly and annual operating
plan (AOP) - This is a critical step in the monthly and annual
executive IBP process. Responsibility includes influencing and
enabling business decisions to maximize corporate goals inclusive
of highlighting trade-offs and options for consideration.Leads the
Stage Gate governance model - For deciding on projects and conducts
monthly innovation reviews to ensure critical stakeholder input is
considered.Drives standard commercialization process across
divisions to optimize processes, manage risk and to deliver against
commercialization success metrics:Identifies constraints, risks &
opportunities, and provides recommendations and guidance of
tradeoffs for effective decision making to leaders and P&L
owners.Ensures project management tools and forums are in place
(standard project timelines, scope outlines, action registers,
technical risk assessments, etc.) to ensure success.Responsible for
the continuous improvement of commercialization processes, tools,
and capabilities through routine lessons learned and tracking to
deliver best in class results.Provides direct project management of
critical high-complexity initiatives, with hands-on mentorship and
coaching for developing project/program managers as needed.Job
Complexity / Scope Responsible for the Snacks Division 3 Business
Units ($4+B GS) - Salty, Cookies & Crackers, and Bakeries;
inclusive of commercializing products in a highly complex network,
15 manufacturing plants,
27 co-man partners.Skilled in managing complex project initiatives
with ambiguity and able to synthesize the complex into simple
actions and decisions to ensure success.Requires significant
cross-functional partnerships to lead cross-functional teams beyond
Supply Chain (including Marketing, Sales, R&D) and within
Supply Chain (including Demand and Supply Planning, Procurement,
Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Warehouse, Transportation, and
Customer Supply Chain).Deep understanding of the Supply Chain
including demand, supply, customer planning, logistics and
warehousing, manufacturing, systems, & processes how they impact
the end to end supply chain.Requires initiative to independently
interpret business direction, understand business and capital
constraints, and create alignment between the business and
functions on priorities of initiatives.Influencing skills,
political savvy, strategic and organizational agility; must be able
to effectively interface with and influence people on both
strategic and tactical issues.Process management, managing and
measuring work and driving organization change.Ability to interpret
and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals, excellent
facilitation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to
motivate people through collaborative skills.Managerial courage,
timely decision making, decision quality and drive for
results.Strategic thinking capability with a proven record of
creating vision and driving change.Strong business and financial
acumen requiredJob Specifications Bachelor's Degree
required.Related technical field or equivalent experience in a
similar role including engineering, supply chain, project
management or commercialization.A minimum of 15 years of relevant
experience; including Supply Chain cross-functional roles
(planning, manufacturing /co-manufacturing, procurement,
engineering, commercialization, and/or project management).Solid
knowledge of the end to end Supply Chain including Food
Manufacturing Processes, Co-Manufacturing partners, Planning and
Logistics, Engineering of systems, R&D, Commercialization, QA
and Food Safety Systems.Strong demonstrated understanding of profit
and loss, make versus buy analysis, and total delivered cost.Strong
demonstrated knowledge of business and resource planning and
program management.Compensation and Benefits:The target base salary
range for this full-time, salaried position is
between$125,500-$209,300Individual base pay depends on work
location and additional factors such as experience, job-related
skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include
other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive
health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first
