include but not be limited to:For the entire Late July business,
leading a team that coordinates complex and multi-disciplined
recipe development/ engineering projects/ innovation/ brand
maintenance to ensure that project objectives, budgets, and
timelines are met.Demonstrates strong technical skills in the areas
of snack food recipe development and manufacturing and drives
decisions within the cross functional technical team (Operations,
QA, Product Development, Process Development, and Package
Development) as well as Marketing.Possesses an innovative R&D
mindset with the ability to creatively solve problems and invent
new solutions. Fosters an Innovation Culture by demonstrating
expertise in "Out of the Box" thinking. Willing to try new
approaches and accepts failure gracefully while leveraging the
learning experience.Accurately assigns technical risks and develops
effective risk mitigation options.Manages the Late July R&D
budgetMaintains active knowledge and understanding in areas beyond
Product Development including Process and Package Development, QA,
Project Engineering, Supply Chain and thorough understanding of
Marketing needs and financial hurdles.Possesses a solid
understanding of the snacking business and its drivers, and
corresponding technical capabilities within the R&D
organization. Leads with Marketing & Business teams throughout
stage gates for new product and cost savings initiatives.Provides
technical mentorship to scientists and engineers within and across
organizational structure, and serves as a role model for positive
attitude, professionalism, and change leadership in a dynamic
business environment.Applies experimental design to ensure recipes
and processes are optimized.Delivers scalable recipes and processes
to commercialize new product innovations and provides technical
specifications and documentation to assure smooth roll outs of new
equipment and processes into operations.We're looking for the
following abilities and skills:B.S or MS Food Science, Chemical
Engineering, Food Engineering, Agriculture Engineering with Food
Processing emphasis.Minimum 12+ years of related experience with a
consumer-packaged goods background in one or more of the following
areas: R&D, Engineering, Operations.Required experience with
salty snacks, recipe development and operations.Strong hands-on
technical skills with the ability to act as a technical lead within
Innovation and Product Development primarily, but also including
Operations, Procurement, and QA.Highly developed interpretive and
analytical skills, strong attention to details, excellent
communications and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead a team and
multiple projects at any given time, able to prioritize and modify
priorities accordingly amid uncertainty.High level of
communication, presentation, and computer skills. Ability to
inform, influence, and negotiate across various functionsAbility to
form and maintain sound working relationships with diverse
stakeholders both internal and external to the company.Drive,
initiate, and support Continuous Improvement to maintain quality of
finished productsWorking Conditions:Travel expectations up to 30%
is anticipated for this role.Hybrid Model (Mon & Friday Work from
home- Tues, Wed, Thursday in the office)Compensation and
Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried
position is between$105,000-$172,200Individual base pay depends on
work location and additional factors such as experience,
job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay
may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer
competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on
