Job Description


What you will do:

• 
  
• Perform speech and language services as required by student IEPs.
  
• Receive referrals, assess students for eligibility.
  
• Develop IEPs and re-evaluate students as needed.
  
• Demonstrates knowledge and skill in the Speech Pathologist's therapy.
  
• Establishes goals for the therapy program appropriate to the setting and the students.
  
• Demonstrates knowledge of district, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  
• Demonstrates knowledge of resources, both within and beyond the school and district.
  
• Plans the therapy program, integrates with the regular school program, to meet the needs of individual students.

  What you will need:
  
  
  • 
    
  • MA/MS in Speech Pathology from an accredited college or university.
    
  • NJ certification as Speech Language Therapist.
    
  • AHSA licensure
    
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decision regarding the safety and welfare of students
    
  • Appreciation of cultural diversity
    
  • Ability to effectively incorporate instructional technology.
