A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team in Brooklyn.About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire possibility)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (alternating weekends)
• Hours: 1pm-9pm (1-hr unpaid lunches)
• EMR: SigmaCareResponsibilities:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for assisting with providing and implementing medical care and services for women with a history of chemical dependence, including:
  • Collecting health history
  • Making health assessment
  • Performing annual physicals
  • Assisting with minor office procedures
  • Coordinating medical intake process
  • Executing medical regimens prescribed by licensed healthcare providers, treatment, referral, health counseling and follow up care and servicesQualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited Nursing program
    • NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in New York State
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • NYS-approved Infection Control certification
    • Knowledge of Substance / Alcohol Dependence/ Abuse population
    • Experience in one of the following specialty areas, including Family Health, Women's Health, Holistic Care, etc.
    • Training in Chemical Use, Abuse, and Dependence specific to the services providedDesired Skills:
      • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
