Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NJ or compact license, Ortho/Spine experience, and night shift availability. Responsibilities - Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit - Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM - Patient ratios typically 1:6 with varying patient mix - Ortho and Spine cases are common - RN and monitor tech manage telemetry monitoring on unit - Required to float among five hospitals within skillset - Every other weekend and every other holiday required - Block scheduling is not allowed - No call requirements - RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at time of application; no RTO requests will be accepted after submission - First time travelers considered but not preferred - Navy blue scrubs required - Local candidates (within 50 miles) receive a lower rate - Failure to complete or pass the Dysrhythmia test will result in contract cancellation and DNR from hospital system Requirements - Active NJ or compact state RN license - Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience - Ortho and Spine experience required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications - Must pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing contract, using a PC rather than iOS device - COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625009.
