Assists interventionalists in all procedures within the scope of
interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery to include but not
limited to oncology, vascular and trauma. - Skill set must be
maintained to handle supplies/instrumentation associated with
interventional procedures. - Must be able to assist physicians in
the capacity of both a scrub and circulating technologist. -
Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment,
monitors supplies and deficiencies. Adheres to all Infection
Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed. -
Maintains licensure and BLS. Stays current and participates
departmental training offered. - Demonstrates courteous behavior,
positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co-
workers/customers. - Understands and appreciates the need to
provide good customer service, both internal and external. -
Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient
flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology
Transport). - Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early,
late and unauthorized entries. - Adheres to Departmental
procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and
hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention
requirements. - Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to
keep current on department communications. Experience Required 1-2
year of Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Interventional
Technology preferred Education Requirements Graduate of AMA
approved program for Diagnostic Radiology and therefore registry
eligible. NJ DEP license required upon hire. License/Certification
Requirements Current BLS. Current ARRT - American Registry
Radiology Tech License. Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech
License
