Job Description Position Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time Reports to: Pharmacy Manager or
Director of Pharmacy Position Summary We are seeking a
detail-oriented and dependable South Carolina State Certified
Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate
will be licensed and certified in accordance with South Carolina
Board of Pharmacy regulations. The technician must possess strong
communication and organizational skills to support pharmacists in
delivering high-quality patient care. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications.
Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the
pharmacy system. Process third-party insurance claims and resolve
issues related to billing. Maintain proper storage and security
conditions for drugs. Label and package prescriptions with proper
documentation. Manage inventory and order medications as needed.
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare
professionals. Perform administrative tasks, such as answering
phones and managing records. Comply with all state and federal
regulations, including HIPAA and SC Board of Pharmacy laws, as well
as company policies and procedures. · Other related duties as
assigned or requested. Qualifications Education & Experience: High
school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of pharmacy
technician experience. 340B experience preferred. Certifications:
Current Registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South
Carolina. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required. South
Carolina Board of Pharmacy State Certification required. Note (PCBT
and State of SC Certified and verified with LLR will meet
requirements) Skills: Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and
drug inventory control. Understanding of 340B Program requirements
and regulations. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and
time management. Excellent customer service skills. Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel and pharmacy management software. Strong
communication and problem-solving skills. Physical requirements The

Occasionally moves and stores boxes and supplies weighing up to 40
pounds. · Frequently raises or lowers an object from one level to
another. · Frequently communicates to provide instructions, answer
questions, take prescriptions, and interact with patients and
medical staff. Must be able to communicate effectively. ·
Constantly discerns, inspects, and evaluates odors and chemicals,
medications, and biological materials. · Frequently uses a computer
and other electronic devices. · Demonstrate fine motor skills to
perform precise adjustments. The position requires strong manual
dexterity. · Ability to observe, monitor, and/or assess patient,
and read fine print on monitors, devices, printed materials,
prescriptions, patient records, and gauges. Work Environment: ·
Work in a healthcare and pharmacy setting. Typically works 40 hours
per week during a Monday-Friday schedule between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Overtime may be required as needed and approved by management. ·
Work in varying temperatures within imaging rooms and clinical
environments. May involve standing, lifting, and handling inventory
materials. · Work under time constraints and in fast-paced
situations, including responding to emergencies.
