Job Description Job Description Job Title: MRI Technologist Location: Elmhurst, NY Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Overnight | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM Pay Rate: $51–$61 per hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join an acute care hospital team in Elmhurst, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating MRI equipment in a hospital setting, a strong understanding of imaging protocols, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This role includes structured onboarding and training, as well as experience working with EPIC for patient documentation. Key Responsibilities Perform MRI scans using hospital imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and clear communication Operate and maintain MRI equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and infection control standards Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to obtain optimal imaging results Accurately document procedures and patient information in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements Support acute care imaging needs and adapt to high-acuity patient environments Participate in required training, including a 2-week onboarding program (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) covering EPIC and equipment protocols Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program Licenses & Certifications: NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist License (required) MRI certification through ARRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) or ARMRIT (required) BLS certification (American Heart Association) – preferred Experience & Skills: Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in an acute care or hospital setting Familiarity with hospital MRI equipment and imaging protocols Strong patient care, communication, and technical skills Ability to work independently during overnight shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment For more details contact at pmohanty@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-806-4227 .
