Job Description Job Description Overview Physician Affiliate
Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding two (2) Psychiatrists (ER) to
the group at NYC Health Hospitals/Nort h Central Bronx. NCB is a
457-bed community hospital providing quality care in a friendly and
setting. This facility provides a range of services, and is known
for its outstanding Behavioral Health, Women’s Health, Primary
Care, Pediatric, Geriatric and Specialty Ambulatory services. North
Central Bronx has a reputation for its devotion to the needs of its

department of Psychiatry has 3 Adult Inpatient Units, a satellite
CPEP, a Psychiatry Consultation Liaison service, a Partial Hospital
Program, an Outpatient Department, and an ACT team. The hospital
maintains a strong academic affiliation with the James J. Peters VA
Medical Center to continue its high standards of healthcare
delivery, and to provide its staff with teaching and research
opportunities. Responsibilities The ER Psychiatrist will have
responsibility for clinical and educational activities in the ER
Unit, including participation in a multidisciplinary treatment
team. He/She will participate in activities related to clinical
care and documentation of care, performance improvement regulatory
compliance and student education. He/She will report to their Unit
Chief and Inpatient Director. He/She will also participate in our
innovative integrative care activities. Qualifications Must be
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry Completion of
an approved Psychiatry residency training program. MD or DO from
accredited school of medicine License to practice medicine in the
State of NY Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary:
$236,900* (board eligible); $247,200* (board certified) based on
40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call
or sessional/per diem hours. The annual total value of the
compensation package is estimated at $404,590 (board eligible) and
$415,920 (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary,
401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as
set forth below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional
sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000. Projected
bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average),
contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k)
Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of
base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of
service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of
base earnings. No employee match is required. Annual Continuing
Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. Generous Annual Paid Time
Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days. Medical,
Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee
contributions significantly below market rates. Life Insurance and
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x
your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to
you. Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage
is available for you and your family. Loan Forgiveness: Position
may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or
federal programs. Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to
occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee. Healthcare
and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). Pre-tax
employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses. Physician
