Shift: 5x7.5-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Important: Dysrhythmia Certification is
required for this role. Job Summary: The Telemetry Technician is
responsible for advanced ECG monitoring and accurate cardiac rhythm
interpretation. The role includes continuous EKG monitoring,
arrhythmia detection, identifying life-threatening rhythm changes,
initiating codes when necessary, documenting rhythms during codes,
troubleshooting monitoring equipment, and responding appropriately
to all monitor alarms. Job Responsibilities: /t - Perform
electrocardiograms in various clinical settings, ensuring proper
electrode placement. /t - Provide continuous ECG monitoring with
accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias. /t -
Identify and promptly respond to life-threatening arrhythmias. /t -
Initiate emergency response procedures and record rhythms during
codes. /t - Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and resolve technical
issues. /t - Communicate clearly and effectively with charge
nurses, physicians, and team members. /t - Enter and verify
physician orders in the computer system. /t - Retrieve laboratory
results and report critical findings to the charge nurse. /t -
Ensure documentation complies with current standards and
organizational policies. /t - Safely manage and operate telemetry
and monitoring equipment. Required Experience: /t - Experience must
clearly indicate direct work as a Telemetry Technician or Monitor
Technician. /t - Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Required
Education: /t - /t High School Diploma or equivalent. /t Required
Certifications & Licensure: /t - Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red
Cross. /t - Dysrhythmia Certification (Required). /t - EKG
Certification (Preferred). Additional Notes: /t - Must indicate
preferred shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) at time
of submission. /t - Possible weekend coverage required based on
