Role Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
or 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Hours: 37.5 hours per week Onsite: 100% onsite
Compensation Traveler Rate: $95/hour Local Rate: $80/hour Position
Overview A hospital-based healthcare organization is seeking a
Nuclear Medicine Technician for a short-term contract assignment .
This role is responsible for the daily operation of the Nuclear
Medicine and PET/CT laboratory, including equipment maintenance,
patient education, and the performance of diagnostic nuclear
medicine and PET/CT procedures in compliance with departmental
policies and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Operate
Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging equipment Perform diagnostic
nuclear medicine procedures following established protocols Educate
patients and families regarding procedures, safety, and radiation
precautions Perform testing, calibration, and quality control of
imaging equipment Adhere to radiation safety, infection control,
and departmental policies Accurately document procedures and
patient information Maintain compliance with regulatory,
departmental, and union requirements Collaborate with physicians
and clinical staff to support high-quality patient care Required
Experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine
Technologist (required) Education Requirements Associate’s Degree
(required) Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) Certifications & Licensure
Required: ARRT or NMTCB Certification in Nuclear Medicine
Post-secondary Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) New York
State Radiologic Technologist License issued by the NYS Department
of Health Current BCLS Certification Additional Preferences
Experience with Siemens Biograph Vision PET/CT (preferred)
