Bronx, NY Setting: Multispecialty Outpatient Job Summary: Our
Division of Ophthalmology and Optometry is expanding due to high
demand, and we are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our
team of ophthalmologists and optometrists. The Optometrist will
provide comprehensive eye care to patients, including performing
routine eye exams, diagnosing and managing visual disorders and eye
diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. You will work closely
with patients to assess their visual health, recommend treatment
options, and educate them on maintaining optimal eye health.
Practice locations feature newly built clinics with
state-of-the-art equipment and spacious lanes, including separate
testing and procedure rooms—a rare find in New York City.
Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive eye exams and provide
patient-centered eye care. Diagnose and treat visual disorders and
manage eye diseases. Prescribe corrective lenses and other
treatments as needed. Educate patients on maintaining optimal eye
health. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of
ophthalmologists, optometrists, and clinical staff. Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program. Active
state optometry license. Valid CPR certification. Two or more years
of optometrist experience preferred. Applied understanding of
general optometry principles and best practices for diagnosis and
treatment of eye-related disorders. Strong interpersonal skills and
ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds. Excellent
customer service skills and ability to maintain patient
confidentiality. General computer proficiency. Strong
problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Benefits: Opportunity
