Job Description Job Description Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Care Location: Bronx, NY Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent Salary Range: $135,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a busy Urgent Care team in Bronx, NY. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for acute and episodic conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment. The NP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan, managing minor illnesses and injuries while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic conditions independently or as part of a healthcare team Manage common urgent care presentations such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, minor infections, sprains, and cuts Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting Identify serious conditions and appropriately refer patients to the emergency department when necessary Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging Prescribe medications and administer treatments Provide vaccinations and preventive care services Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems Collaborate with specialists and other providers for coordinated care Qualifications Master’s Degree in Nurse Practitioner Program (Family preferred) Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC required) Experienced NPs should have at least 3 years of acute care experience (RN, Urgent Care, ICU, or Critical Care) Bilingual Spanish is a plus EMR/EHR experience preferred New graduates are encouraged to apply Work Environment Fast-paced urgent care setting Team-based, collaborative environment Opportunity to treat diverse patient populations Company Description LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
