an OBGYN office in Soho! Job Description We are seeking a dedicated
and experienced Medical Assistant to join a leading OBGYN practice
located in the heart of Soho. This role requires a professional
with a in medical assisting, especially within an OBGYN setting, to
provide exceptional patient care and support to our team of
providers. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients upon
arrival. Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked and
sterile. Room patients and assist with patient intake and history
documentation. Draw blood and check vital signs. Perform pap
smears, colposcopy, and leeps. Sterilize medical equipment. Utilize
the EMR system, preferably Athena, for patient records. Handle
triage calls effectively. Perform manual blood pressure
measurements. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in
medical assistance within an OBGYN office. Proficiency with
electronic medical records, especially Athena. Experience with pap
smears, colposcopy, leeps, vitals, and blood draws. Strong
professional communication skills. Additional Skills &
Qualifications Familiarity with gynecology and medical triage.
Ability to prep rooms and sterilize equipment. Experience in
greeting and managing patient interactions. Work Environment The
position is based in a beautiful office in Soho on Broadway. The
work environment is fully in-office, supporting a team of 6-7
providers on the 3rd floor. You will collaborate with two other
medical assistants. The regular working hours are Monday to Friday,
9 am to 5:30 pm, with no nights or weekends. There may be days
requiring earlier start times or later closing times around 6/6:30
pm. This role offers the opportunity for long-term growth within
the company. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire
position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range
for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements
apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification
and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
