Job Description:
Global Medical Response (GMR) is seeking a dedicated NYRR
Medical Team Leader to oversee our medical operations at the New
York Road Runners (NYRR) events. As a part of GMR, you will work
closely with a team of healthcare professionals providing essential
medical care during large-scale endurance events. This role is
critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants
through effective medical response and management strategies.
Coordinate and lead the medical team during NYRR events, ensuring
that all healthcare staff are prepared and responsive. Develop and
implement emergency response plans in collaboration with event
organizers and local authorities. Oversee the training and
preparedness of the medical team, conducting simulations and drills
as necessary. Manage on-site medical facilities, ensuring that they
are equipped with the necessary medical supplies and equipment.
Perform hands-on medical care as needed, demonstrating expertise in
emergency medicine. Document all medical incidents and ensure the
team complies with local and federal health regulations. Liaise
with GMR management to report on event outcomes and suggest
improvements for future deployments. Strong leadership and
organizational skills Expertise in emergency medicine and rapid
response Ability to develop and implement comprehensive health and
safety plans Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in using medical equipment and technology relevant to
emergency healthcare services Capability to perform under pressure
in dynamic and large-scale event environments Medical Insurance

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification Certified in disaster management and emergency
response (preferred)
