location : New York, NY 10004 Shift : Day Pay : $20-$28 /hr
Contract : 2-month possible extension Duties : Handle incoming and
outgoing calls on MLTC/PCS and Behavioral Health (BH) ACD lines,
including warm transfers to clinical case managers. Assist members
with benefits questions and schedule necessary medical
appointments. Manage calls with providers regarding inpatient and
outpatient BH authorizations, HCBS referrals, PCP visits, tests,
and faxed care plans. Serve as a liaison between departments and
vendors regarding member services. Enter prior approvals and
service authorizations in CareConnect and monitor assigned
authorization queues for timely processing. Maintain and track
member files, status, documentation, and re-authorizations
(including Doctor’s orders and M11qs). Track and monitor hospital
admissions, nursing home admissions, ER visits, unexpected
outcomes, and short-term absences. Document calls regarding
high-risk members discharged from the Emergency Room. Notify
members and vendors of start dates, end dates, or cancellation of
services. Conduct in-network provider searches to assist Care
Managers. Coordinate completion of Occupational Therapy evaluations
and print/mail Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide Plans of Care.
Review daily census reports to track admissions and discharges;
analyze and update daily reports. Complete and verify missing or
conflicting documentation information. Notify Care Managers if
members cannot be contacted. Perform quality tracking tasks and
complete additional duties assigned by the Supervisor or management
