Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position at a Level III high-risk facility, requiring an active NJ or compact license and strong recent specialty experience. Responsibilities - Work in a Level III high-risk Labor and Delivery hospital unit - Will float to High Risk Obstetric (HROB) unit as needed and may float to up to two nearby lower-volume hospitals, though most deliveries occur onsite - Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00–19:00 - Every other weekend and every other holiday required - Uses Epic charting system (preferred) - Scrubs provided by the hospital - Float as needed within five hospitals based on census and staffing, assignments within scope of practice - Block scheduling considered but not guaranteed - First-time travelers are accepted for this position - RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at time of application; no RTO allowed within the first week of assignment - Travelers with four days or less of RTO will be prioritized - Must complete required labs within 48 hours of signing - Fit testing required prior to starting; must be clean shaven for fit testing Requirements - Active NJ or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission - BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required, all current at time of submission - Minimum 2.5–3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience, with at least 2 years in specialty within the last 12 months - Must pass Dysrhythmia test during orientation within 72 hours of signing, on a PC; only two attempts permitted - COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required at time of submission; no exemptions allowed Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623776.
