Job DescriptionPayroll AssociatePOSITION SUMMARYThe Payroll Associate position will be responsible for all changes in the payroll system as well asmanaging time records, PTO balances and employee inquiries. The Payroll Associate is able to work wellin a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has the ability to deal with sensitive and highlyconfidential information in a productive and organized way. Must be willing to learn, be an effectivecommunicator and be proficient to advanced in excel.The position is full-time and based in Pleasantville, New Jersey.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Payroll Associate would be responsible for but not limited to:* Acts as the first point of contact for all payroll, time management, and PTO inquiries.* Process bi-weekly payrolls in payroll system* Maintains digital personnel records* Accurately input all payroll related data necessary to process and meet firm deadlines including,but not limited to, new hires, terminations, salary changes, manager changes, bonuses andmore* Process garnishments and all other payroll deductions* Responds to inquiries from managers and employees in a timely manner.* Handles leave of absences ensuring procedures and regulations are followed andcommunicating and updating reports on leave statuses* Generate reports for accounting, human resources, and other departments as needed* Develop benefits information and statistical and census data for actuaries, insurance carriersand management* Supervise maintenance of enrollment and claims records for all benefits plans* Complete employee verifications: complete form/verbal verifications & save information inelectronic employee file* Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with coworkers and employees* Assist with year-end payroll close and review of W-2s* Keep up on latest state and federal laws pertaining to payroll or leaves of absence* Assists with audit requests and other reviews* Participate and support all company related initiatives and events* Provide administrative support to Director of Human ResourcesExperience and SkillsQualifications for this Payroll Associate position:* High School diploma or GED equivalent required* Must at minimum 2 years of direct payroll processing experience; 3-5 years preferred* Working knowledge of UKG or a similar payroll system* Knowledge of FMLA, STD and State LeavesCandidate should be professional, organized, detail oriented and have both excellent written and verbalcommunication skills. Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills. Positiveattitude and ability to work as a team.Candidate must be able to maintain a high level of discretion, judgement and confidentiality.
