Check us out! https://www.arc-intl.comSUMMARYThe Human Resource Generalist performs Human Resource related duties at a professional level to support organizational goals and objectives. The Generalist will be responsible for providing direction on general associate relations issues, ensure proper maintenance of all records and documentation relative to the HR department and facility, recruitment, enforcing company policies and procedures, compliance, reporting, training and development, employee engagement and provide daily support to facility management team and all associates.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

  • Coordinate all recruitment activities, external and internal: post positions, maintain applicant flow diaries, arrange interviews, and write offer letters. Arrange and complete pre-employment references, drug & alcohol screenings and coordinate/conduct new employee orientation.
  • Assist in administration of FMLA activities: approval of cases, tracking of hours, reporting, communication with employees, supervisors, etc.
  • Investigate employee related complaints & employee relations issues; work with management team on fact finding and documentation of complaints and make recommendation for corrective action; maintain all documentation related to these issues.
  • Review and investigate recommended disciplinary action from managers to assign appropriated level of discipline which ensures consistency and equity throughout the facility.
  • Manage employee performance through employee appraisal system and other procedures.
  • Manage employee attendance program, track attendance warnings and investigate employee attendance disputes
  • Coordinate and participate in HR related committees and activities: i.e.: safety committees, luncheons, employee meetings, etc.
  • Manage daily activities as directed by the HR Manager/VP of HR.
  • Collect data and generate reports reflecting metrics of HR department and other areas as requested, to include: Turnover, Absenteeism, Headcount, etc.; Evaluate information and make recommendation for improvements to performance in these areas as well as other HR related areas.
  • Prepare presentations as required
  • Identify and meet targets associated with HR Key performance indicators
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Effective oral/presentation and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
    • A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, motivation, communication, and planning. Strong employee relations skills.
    • Must be computer literate including proficiency in Word and Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
    • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferredEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
      • BA/BS in business or related discipline required.
      • 3-5 plus years' experience as an HR Generalist with direct experience in all facets of Human Resources.
      • Must be adaptable in a constantly changing environment and prioritize tasks as needed.
      • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
