We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a
PAYROLL MANAGER.
What you'll be doing as a Payroll Manager:
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Payroll
Manager will oversee and supervise the organization's payroll
functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in
compliance with government regulations. This position is a hybrid
position working remotely and in-office at the corporate office in
West Atlantic City. Travel to other Angelic sites may be required
occasionally including Wenonah and Toms River.
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to
ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other
deductions.
Handles necessary paycheck reversals, voids, manual checks, etc.
accurately and timely.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including
new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll
transactions.
Performs routine audits for accurate accounting of payroll
transactions.
Assists employees with payroll questions.
Provides training on timecard and mileage reimbursement systems for
new hires and managers.
Coordinates the notices to management for changes in compensation
structure or procedures.
Provides orientation for new hires regarding timecard recording of
hours, mileage reimbursement procedure, benefits, and other company
procedures relating to payroll.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage,
and hour laws and best practices.
Coordinates and reviews accurate 401k transactions.
Ensures proper compliance with regulatory state/federal
requirements.
Processes handling of on-demand pay transactions and ensures
accurate recording.
Maintains accurate records for FSA and HSA banking transactions as
well as payroll deductions.
Prepares routine and special payroll reports for senior executive
management and/or auditors.
Works with benefits broker for smooth functioning benefit process,
accurate benefit deductions, and coordinates reconciliation of
benefit invoices with accounts payable and broker.
Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software,
systems, and procedures.
What we're looking for:
--- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including
preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
--- Familiarity with m ulti-state payroll processing (NJ, SC,
PA).
--- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
--- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
--- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
--- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
--- Proficient with payroll software (preferably Paycor ).
--- Ability to function independently, attend to detail, work under
pressure, and prioritize multiple projects.
--- Possess satisfactory references and pass criminal background,
national sex offender, drug and motor vehicle checks.
Education and Experience:
College degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human
Resources, or related field preferred.
Three to five years of related payroll experience required.

Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending,
pushing/pulling, kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting. Also
required is driving, writing, speaking, relating to others, making
independent decisions, listening and finger dexterity, and the
