The Job Details: We are looking for a Team Lead with extensive experience leading software developers in building performant, scalable, reliable, and testable software systems. You are expected to be a hands-on team lead that work to guide and mentor a team of software developers. You should have been involved in designing and delivering reliable mission critical systems utilizing modern techniques (event streaming, micro-services,etc), have demonstrable experience applying software design patterns to complex problems and have worked to promote and sustain an Agile SCRUM development practice within your team. You will report to the Director of Software Engineering in this role. Some of the things expected from you include the following: Extensive experience promoting and working with test driven development Experience working in and promoting a DevOps culture which drives continuous delivery Hands on participation in design, coding, testing, and deploying systems Extensive experience mentoring, training, and enabling software developers on your team Experience with various back-end micro-services frameworks (Spring, Helidon) Experience working with front-end stacks such as Angular and/or React Designs systems with an APIs first architectural approach Demonstrable experience in promoting continuous improvement of SDLC and software design Demonstrable experience improving existing architectures as business needs and tech stacks evolve Experience working effectively with remote and internal development teams Education BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related subject Experience Experience leading a software development team of 5-10 developers Proven hands-on Software Development experience, 10+ years Proven experience in Java and Web development technologies, 10+ years Profound insight of Java internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc) Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, Oracle, SQL and ORM technologies (Hibernate, iBatis) Strong knowledge of JavaScript and popular JavaScript libraries Working knowledge of REST frameworks Working experience with WebSphere application server and embeddable web servers Experience with Maven and Git (GitHub/BitBucket) Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) Experience with Jasper Reports Working knowledge of C programming in Unix/Linux environment Experience in Supply Chain Logistics is a plus Experience in development of Warehouse Management systems is a plus Experience interfacing with autonomous control system is a plus Experience with containers, and cloud operating environments (AWS, Azure, OCI) OCI is a plus Experience with cloud native technologies FaaS, DaaS, Kafka is a plus
