Job Description:
What will you be doing? Barclays Services Corp. seeks Mortgage
Data Engineer, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):
Partner with data engineers, research analysts, trading desks and
business teams to design and develop mortgage data workflows that
support risk analytics with a focus on performance and data
quality. Perform analysis and develop database solutions to meet
the needs of the stakeholders. Writing clean, efficient and
maintainable code using programming languages like Python, SQL,
Perl, Shell scripting. Develop data engineering capabilities and
help to drive data driven initiatives. Build data pipelines using
Python, SQL and Kafka. Engage in complex analysis of data from
multiple sources of information, internal as well as external
sources allowing it to be easily streamed to users. Collaboration
with peers, participate in code reviews and maintain code quality.
Using analytical and problem-solving skills to manage production
issues and create resolutions. Monitoring the performance of data
pipelines and troubleshooting issues providing efficient solutions.
Build and maintain databases to ensure efficient querying and
reporting. May telecommute pursuant to company policies. [Hybrid
role] Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $170,000.00 per year Salary / Rate
Maximum/yr: $175,000.00 per year The minimum and maximum
salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base
hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or

eligible for an incentive award. Purpose of the role To build and
maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse
data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to
ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
Accountabilities Build and maintenance of data architectures
pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable,
complete and consistent data. Design and implementation of data
warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes
and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the
intended data complexity and volumes. Collaboration with data
scientist to build and deploy machine learning models. Assistant

functions/ business divisions. Lead a team performing complex
tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to

analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and
external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas,
teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and
effectively. Communicate complex information. Complex information
could include sensitive information or information that is
difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
