*Basic Purpose of Position: *

Provides secretarial, administrative, and clerical support to the Claims Administration Department within the Office of the General Counsel. This position requires an individual who maintains confidentiality, exhibits initiative and the ability to work independently.

*Major Responsibilities and Duties*

**

*DESCRIPTION OF TASK*

1.

Provides administrative, secretarial, clerical, research and reporting services. Responsible for drafting and typing correspondence, completing claim forms and filing them, opening and maintaining files, conducting research, assembling materials for reports and creating reports, working with the Department's Matter Management system, working with time and payroll records, ordering office supplies and equipment.

2.

Drafts correspondence, reports, and other documents independently provided that appropriate training and instruction has been given.

3.

Works with Claims Administrator to assist them in carrying out their obligations and duties.

4.

Assists in preparing and filing pleadings and other documents related to court actions and proceedings pending in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for workers' compensation, liability, property damage and other claims.

5.

Works cooperatively with all members of the Office of General Counsel, including other secretarial and clerical staff.

6.

Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
