Description:Responsible for the repair and maintenance of company's fleet of 35 trucks (mainly Kenworth & Peterbilt). They have all different type of vehicles that they will be working on- tractors and trailers, box trucks, Dual Trucks, etc. Must be able to complete the following:Required Oil changes Some motor work (no major engine repairs, that is done in Elizabeth shop) Air Brake Knowledge Suspension Electrical wiring knowledge Hydraulics Brake knowledge Own Tools Ability to work independentlyPreferred: Welding experience Torch Experience Fabrication Tire Changing Capability Class B CDL License Computer Skill Proficient in driving both a manual and automatic transmission truckAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Perform a Pre and Post - Trip Inspection on the trucks that are driven on the road.The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal & written) & maintain a professional business relationship with co-workers and customers.Agreeable to perform service calls on fleet vehicles that have broken down or taken out of service.
