IT Help Desk Specialist I We are looking for an experienced Help
Desk Specialist I to provide support to Department of Homeland
Security (DHS) Directorate of Science and Technology (S&T)
Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) for Business Operations
Support Services (BOSS). Purpose: The work for this acquisition
includes labor, supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to
supply administrative and technical support services to the
Business Operations Division, including project planning and
administration, tracking receipt and processing of contractor
deliverables; editing, processing, publication, and distribution of
TSL information products; records management; and enterprise
information technology support. These functions provide support to
all divisions and areas within the agency's domain. The effort
provides the opportunity to improve the Government Agencies'
overall business operations and permit them to improve upon
existing organizational strengths. The intent is to maximize the
efficient use of government assets in support of the Homeland
Security mission by improving business processes, and tracking
costs, and tracking contract deliverables more effectively.
- Provides phone and in-person support to users in areas which
include e-mail, LAN/WAN, directories, standard desktop images and
applications, COTS and GOTS applications.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting all
IT related problems, but not limited to hardware/software,
passwords, and printer problems.
- Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and
procedures on technical assignments.
- Work is performed under supervision. Qualifications
- 1-4 years relevant experience.
- Preferred Software experience desired: TSL local IT Systems &
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Clearance: Secret Security Clearance Required We offer
