Job Description: SmartSource is seeking an EHR Specialist for a 3-6 month possible temp to hire opportunity located in Margate City, NJ This position is responsible for supporting and managing our in-house EHR system and/or a new EHR, as well as related baseline operational job processes, system administration, configuration, and workflow there within. This role also acts as a technology liaison to analyze complex business requirements as well as design, develop and implement solutions related to business processes, reports and data integration. Bachelor of Science Degree or experience in related area preferred with a minimum of 3 years as a Database Analyst in a high paced environment and strong database and report writing knowledge. Participate in conferences, webinar, user group session and meeting with our existing in-house AVATAR system.--In addition, be a leader in the pursuit for a new EHR system. Duties & Responsibilities:Position Specific * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with individuals and groups.* Provides skills development training * Provides leadership and manages programs; makes decisions; solves problems; develops procedures; develop records/files; conducts meetings; represents department/program at internal and external meetings.* Effectively and consistently manage multiple priorities * Establish effective communication lines/methods.* Evaluates performance and assists with development goals and objectives for staff. * Responsible for knowing and following agency policies and procedures. * Abides by Agency/NASW Code of Ethics.?Title Specific* Acts as the primary analyst for AVATAR (Test & LIVE), as assigned. This involves collaborating with other resources to implement effective solutions and resolve issues efficiently.* Partners with end-user to build their knowledge of the EHR system, guide them to be power users in their area.* Supports and maintains daily operation to support business needs. Provides technical support and responds to related incidents as appropriate.* Provides data management through Excel and Crystal. * Coordinates implementation of new business processes and enhancements * Attends cross agency work groups as appropriate * Documents procedures and resource documentation, and records system changes for troubleshooting and auditing.* Assist, when needed, with some of the general IT support issues with usersRequirements:* Education - Bachelor of Science Degree is required* Experience* Minimum 3 years as a Database Analyst in a high paced environment.* Strong database and report writing knowledge.--Excel and Crystal knowledge a plus.* Personal Trait/s* Proactive, quick and versatile learner in a fast paced environment. * Problem Solver - Ability to proactively correct and defuse high tension issues that can occur in waiting room.* Fleet - Position requires ability to drive.--When using agency or own vehicle, employee must have a Valid NJ driver's license and proof of NJ Auto Insurance ($100,000-$300,000).--Driving will be suspended without these two forms of proof filed in Human Resources (Personnel file), annually.
