Your Mission is Ours.What does this role look like?Generate and/or maintain Combat System Cable Block Diagrams (CBD), Cable Installation / Interconnection Drawings (CIID); including Cable Running Sheets (CRS), Minimum Data Sets (MDS) and Cable Impact Statements (CIS).Review Combat System vendor design documentation for completeness and compatibility with prescribed ship builder specification, standards and requirements.Perform the integration of Combat System cabling design documentation into shipboard and land site cabling Technical Data Products (TDP).Conduct performance testing and qualification of electrical interface components.Position could require intermittent travel to shipyards (incl. international), land based test facilities and other locations to meet customer needs and mission requirements. Whatever your interests, there's likely a community at Lockheed Martin for networking, becoming familiar with the area and enjoying common activities with coworkers.We support our employees, so they can support our mission.Basic Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering or System Engineering Experience evaluating existing and new Combat Systems and providing technical integration direction to support upgrades and installations Intermediate level of knowledge of both military and commercial electrical interface protocols, Combat System integration criteria, equipment interaction methods, major signal flows, as well as, USN and commercial Shipbuilding Specifications Good understanding of commercial technologies and specifications for digital, video, and communication systems Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenshipDesired Skills: Strong systems engineering experience Strong knowledge of military shipboard cables and connectors Strong knowledge of military specifications Strong knowledge of various network types, current commercial trends in this field, as well as the cabling materials required to support Navy Land Based test facility experience a plus Other Important Information You Should Know Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
