Housekeeping Manager II is responsible for assisting the Executive
Housekeeper with coordinating, supervising and
directing the hotel's housekeeping
department in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding
guest service and financial profitability.
• Assist in
the leadership and management of the housekeeping and laundry
staff: hire, train, develop, assess and empower staff to achieve
the department's goals.
• Plan, organize, and monitor staff
activities to ensure compliance with cleanliness and quality
assurance standards set by hotel, which requires continuous visual
inspection of guest rooms and public space areas including
restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, etc.
• Assist in creating schedules and
monitoring controllable expenditures to stay within the restraints
of the established budget.
• Assist in the maintenance,
ordering and securing of inventory to ensure staff members have all
the tools and supplies.
• Ensure proper usage of chemicals
and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete
training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous
supplies in accordance with hotel Hazcom program.
• Evaluate condition of furniture,
fixtures, décor, etc., make recommendations and assist in
coordination of rehab projects.
• Oversee the laundry operation to
ensure productivity standards are met, safety procedures are
followed, and the company assets are maintained and

on a daily basis and report any abnormalities to the maintenance
department to ensure proper asset protection.
