As our Senior Communications Specialist, you develop and implement communications plans and tactics to support the goals and initiatives of Campbell's corporate communications team. You're a strong communicator versed in internal communication strategies and tactics that drive awareness and engagement in support of business goals. You're comfortable communicating in a multimedia, omni-channel environment to reach a range of audiences. Responsibilities include developing corporate employee communications including digital creative content, assisting with executive communications, and coordinating large-scale meetings and events. You work closely with communications colleagues at headquarters and in the regions, as well as colleagues in Human Resources, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Legal, Transformation Office and other functions.  

You leverage sound judgment, experience with diverse communication tactics and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver high-quality work across multiple projects within stringent timelines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to overall communications editorial calendar and organizational communications cadence; 
  • Support Campbell's internal communications technology platforms such as Workplace by Facebook, ExactTarget, Scala and AlertMedia, including tracking and compiling analytics; 
  • Help create and manage digital signage across all corporate and plant locations; 
  • Support enterprise employee experience communications and communications programs for corporate functions; 
  • Synthesize and prioritize activities across multiple concurrent projects, developing timely communications aligned with project milestones;
  • Provide counsel to internal clients about communications and measuring/evaluating results;
  • Coordinate World Headquarters communications;
  • Provide communication support to our Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CR&S) team as well as our Community Affairs team;
  • Assist with technical, legal and other stakeholder reviews to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of materials;
  • Support employee events, programs and corporate special projects; 
  • Collaborate with and support the work of various internal working groups.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English or similar focus area;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a communications role, particularly corporate or organizational communications;
  • Strong interpersonal and writing communications skills across a variety of mediums (e.g., social, presentations, video, digital signage, etc.);
  • Internal communications capabilities, including experience with culture-based and change management communications;
  • Confidence in influencing at all levels of the organization; 
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, performance-based environment; 
  • Characteristics including being adaptable, proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines;
  • A candidate who is digitally savvy and has demonstrated knowledge and experience in using digital communications tools and platforms (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint). Graphic design skills and/or experience using Adobe Creative Suite, video editing and social media are a plus;
  • A team player with familiarity working in a matrix.
