By focusing R&D efforts on four therapeutic areas and other targeted investments, we push the boundaries of what is possible to bring life-changing therapies to patients worldwide.Join Takeda as a Global Scientific Lead, Darvadstrocel, Global Medical Communications where you will manage a Global Medical Communications Unit driving alignment with Global Medical Affairs. You will also Lead the strategic planning of medical communication plans for a medical unit. - Provide oversight for medical aspects of the International Commercial - Medical - Legal - Regulatory (CMLR) promotional review process. - As part of Global Medical Communications, you will report to the Global Medical Communications Group Lead, GI Disorders and work with the Global Medical Communications team.How you will contribute:

  • Lead activities within the Global Medical Communications medical unit for one or more disease areas / assets to ensure quality and delivery against medical communication plans.
  • Coordinate with the Group Lead to monitor performance of goals and delivery of medical communications plans
  • Collaborate with the Group Lead and procurement partners to manage agency contracting and sourcing
  • Provide scientific leadership contributing to launch and life-cycle management of a medical unit
  • Collaborate with the Global Medical Affairs team for one or more disease areas / assets to translate medical strategy into medical communication plans and activities
  • Execute med comm tactics derived from the global medical plan(s) for the medical unit including content development, congress planning, and stand-alone meetings.
  • In partnership with the Global Medical Affairs team, oversee Scientific Communication Platform implementation by the responsible Med Com Expert
  • Personally develop a medical communication plan for one or more disease areas / assets; serve as an engaged manager to the function of the Med Com expert
  • Operational budget oversight for disease areas/assets and align with other relevant company partners (e.g. Finance).
  • Resolve International CMLR questions and provide leadership in concept design and approval of promotional and non-promotional materialsWhat you bring to Takeda:
    • A relevant healthcare degree. A medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MS or RN) is preferred.
    • 7 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry within a matrix structure
    • 5 years of experience within medical affairs roles (e.g. Medical Science Liaison, Medical Information, Medical Communications, Medical Education, Publications)
    • Experience leading teams is desirable
    • Experience managing vendors and complex projects is required
    • Strong knowledge of medical communication approaches and best practices is required
    • Familiarity with international regulatory and legal guidelines regarding medical Communication strategy and executionWhat Takeda can offer you:
