Short DescriptionResponsibilityFoundational Responsibility: Demonstrates Cooper Core Values and Service Standards, and Leadership Must Haves. Utilizes AIDET at all times.(Applies to All Employees)1.Demonstrates understanding and proficiency of the use of the video monitoring( VM) software2.Maintains Visual observation at all times3.Verbally redirects patient over digital 2 way audio device in patient room. Contact nursing staff with immediate concerns4.Participates in handoff of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patients when arriving on unit and upon on completion of shift assignment5.Patient observation documentation needs to be completed and stored in appropriate binder6.Update patient safety board in observation room with all pertinent patient information7.Dedicated attention to observing patients with no outside distractions( no answering phones unless calls to and from RN or Rounder)8.During Rounds: rounder will round on all patients on a monitor and a CAS. Rounder will meet patients' needs, and/or Communicating their needs to the Registered Nurse. Will discuss with RN if patient can use a monitor VS a CAS member9.When rounding , rounder ensures that the physical environment of the patient's room is clean and neat and safe from fall risks10.Orients patients and families to equipment and tele-sitter programSpecial RequirementsScheduled Days / Hours: 36 hrs wk/e3rd wkd/eoh
