Job Description:
Senior Project Scheduler Holtec International, a global turnkey
supplier of equipment and services for the Nuclear, Solar,
Geothermal and Fossil Power Generation sectors of the energy
industry, is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to join our Holtec
Government Services company (a wholly owned subsidiary of Holtec
International). The Senior Project Scheduler is responsible for
supporting the successful execution of U.S. Government agency
projects and Holtec's Small Modular Reactor development and
deployment.Responsibilities include:
- Develop complex engineering, procurement, construction,
commissioning, and decommissioning schedules for project; this
includes maintaining and updating complex schedules, compatibility
and competency of master and supporting schedules.
- Perform logic analysis, Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis,
resource loading, generate work breakdown structures, calculate
earned value, cost control and analysis, work-load projections, S
curve and cash flow diagrams.
- Provide earned value project reporting consistent with DoE and
DoD requirements.
- Assist the Project Manager and Financial Controls with
invoicing in accordance with government formats and levels of
detail/backup documentation.
- Assist the Project Manager in preparation of project reports
including but not limited to scheduling updates and analysis,
progress reporting, change management and various planning reports
for management.
- Able to coordinate the activities of the project controls staff
and schedulers within the project team.
- Ability to identify impacts to schedule and suggest mitigation
actions to minimize slippage.
- Mitigation efforts need to include: informing of plan changes,
making recommendations to downstream impacts in the form of
additional resources, shifts, and execution changes that require
re-sequencing of activities.
- Interface with operations and subcontractors to plan and
develop baseline schedules and narratives, as well as document
impacts to work and support resolution of issues.
- Prepare resource loaded CPM, 120-day, and weekly schedules in
accordance with contract requirements, company standards and
reporting guidelines for presentation to senior management and
clients.
- Develop schedule Monte Carlo analyses.
- Responsible for estimating activity durations and schedule
optimization.
- Perform as a leader and supervisor of other schedulers
resulting in an integrated master schedule.
- Support acquisition of personnel for the project controls team
including supporting recruitment, performing training and
development of personnel to prepare and implement effective job
schedules.Background:
- B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management-preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Project Planning and Scheduling or
project controls area.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Leadership skills.
- Further experience in Project Controls, including:
- Cost Control,
- Performance Measurement, Change Management, and Delay Analysis,
and
- Quantity Surveying.
- Knowledge of Lean construction is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to work
effectively with peers, management, subcontractors, suppliers, and
stakeholdersComputer Skills:
- High level of proficiency in Primavera P6
- Importing schedules from MS Project
- MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point
- Coding, scripting, and automation experience in VBA, Python or
similar to support P6 integration with other business applications
