*Short Orthodontics *is looking for a passionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our well-established, quality practice in Linwood, NJ.*Short Orthodontics* is part of the Corus Orthodontists family. We are a dynamic group of practices across North America who believe in preserving and evolving our specialty of orthodontics, delivering the highest quality results with the best patient experience from start to finish.Our goals include providing exceptional patient care, strengtheningthe patient-doctor relationships, fostering an inclusive culture, and fully supporting our team members.*About the role*The Orthodontic Assistant is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner. The Orthodontic Assistant is involved in a wide range of patient care activities, including assisting the doctor during appointments, sterilization procedures, setting up the operatories, iTero scan and x-rays, and lab work.*What you will be doing - key responsibilities: ** Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating,* Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.* Educate patients on oral hygiene.* Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.* Take x-rays, photos, impressions, and intraoral scans.* Provide patient instruction/education.* Provide reports to parents/guardians.* Assist Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.* Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.* Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.* Unload and store new supplies.* Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor, Clinical Lead, and Practice Manager.*About you: ** You are an excellent communicator who brings enthusiasm and passion to every interaction.* You are pleasant, professional, and courteous, and enjoy being part of a team.* You thrive on the challenge of managing competing priorities and excel at time management.* You care about providing excellent customer service and positive patient experiences.*What you bring - qualifications: ** Orthodontic Assisting experience is preferred, but not required.
